Coming from a European immigrant family, Renaud spent his childhood in a cultural bubble. It was at the end of his adolescence that he finally discovered Quebec music and cinema and something clicked; it is possible to make a career in the visual arts. Photography became a passion that accompanies him in all his free time. In doubt and although unsure of his choice, he began studying engineering. However, finding little meaning in this journey, he decided to follow his instinct and pursue higher studies in photography. Once graduated, he began his career as an assistant photographer with the biggest names in the province. His knowledge of engineering allows him to quickly understand the logic behind different technical elements in the field. With a thirst for continuous improvement, he acquired a cinema camera and developed his art alongside his commercial work. Through this exploratory process, he began a short film project in collaboration with director Mathieu Levesque. The film won several awards, locally and internationally. This career turn led him to officially make the jump to Director of Photography. He has since carried out advertising projects for clients such as St-Hubert, Indigo, Newlook, Annabelle, among others. Passionate about the sublime, he stands out by transforming complex concepts into inspiring, striking images - and with impeccable rendering.
